We understand that there may be questions and misconceptions about the Table View CID initiative. Below, we address some of the most common concerns to provide clarity and transparency.
The Steering Committee
Contrary to what some may have suggested, members of the Steering Committee receive no payment or remuneration of any kind. In fact, the opposite is true — they are personally absorbing out-of-pocket costs in order to keep this initiative running, including expenses for website hosting, printing, and cloud services such as AWS. These are individuals volunteering their time and their money because they believe in this community.
CID NPC Board
Like the Steering Committee, members of the CID NPC Board serve in a voluntary capacity and are not paid for their time or their service. They give freely of their expertise and energy in the interest of the community they represent.
CID Staff
CID staff are salaried employees and are compensated accordingly — but at market-related rates that are fair, transparent, and in line with industry norms. There is nothing unusual or improper about this; these are professionals doing a job, and they are paid as such.
